Forks are currently collaborating on 4 illustrations for upcoming exhibition ‘Summer’. Exhibition is scheduled for 22nd December - yes… right before xmas! and perfect for those wanting to get last minute xmas presents - i.e. the prints will be for sale!
Exhibition running from 22nd Dec to 1st Feb in the upstairs Gallery at Little Creatures Brewery in Freo. Beer + art = hell yes

This volume of One Trick Pony’s Clothespeg Exhibition was a great success. Exhibitions held in both Perth and Sydney with an awesome selection of prints from over 80 artists around Australia and Internationally.
Both Forks had work exhibited with Brendan managing to sell out of his furry guy print in both Sydney and Perth. Woohooo furry guy!

2009 International Photography Awards Announces Winners of the Competition
International Photography Awards (IPA) has announced the winners of 2009’s competition. Otilee Lamb at Forks was awarded: Honorable Mention in Advertising - Beauty category for the winning entry “Empress” and Honorable Mention in Advertising - Fashion category for the winning entry series “Eat horses and grow BIG!”.

Over the past couple of months in addition to Prelude 09, Forks has been working on a massive branding / publication design and photography project ‘a touch of wool II’ for the Perth Fashion Festival 09.
‘a touch of wool II’ is a fantastic joint initiative by the Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) and Curtin University. A project which aims to help change the perception of wool in fashion by merging science with design through the amazing work of eight emerging fashion designers using innovative and creative production technology to produce eight separate couture collections showcasing versatility of wool.
The concept for the branding of the project and the publication design was to reinforce the concept of the project itself in changing the perception of wool in fashion by steering away from the ‘wool agriculture promotional brochure’ type look and presenting the project more as a high fashion glossy editorial. Also taking on the project photography, carrying on with the high fashion editorial vibe - each shoot was individual art directed to reflect and reinforce the image for each designers collection. All eight collections were shot in a two week time frame, with an fantastic team of voluntary models and makeup artists along with the designers themselves.

The ‘a touch of wool II’ event for fashion week is a FREE to the public catwalk show in Fashion Central, Forrest Chase in the City (Perth, WA) on Tuesday 8th Sept at 3pm - head down to check out the 8 collections from some amazing local fashion design talent!

Extremely pleased and excited to announce that Otilee at Forks has just been notified that she is a finalist in the Photographer’s Forum 29th Annual Spring Photography contest and will be published in hardcover publication ‘Best of Photography 2009′, with the book available for purchase this December.
